Prepare Your Documents

Before you begin, make sure you have digital copies (clear photos taken with your phone work perfectly) of the following:

  • A valid Government-issued ID (Driver's license, Passport, State ID).
  • Proof of qualifying program (e.g., SNAP EBT card, Medicaid card, SSI award letter).
  • Or proof of income (Prior year tax return, 3 consecutive pay stubs).

Get Verified by the Government

The first mandatory step is to prove to the federal government that you qualify. You must use the "National Verifier" managed by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).

This system will check your SSN and address and attempt to instantly verify your eligibility. If it cannot, it will prompt you to upload your documents from Step 1.

Select a Participating Provider

Once the National Verifier approves your application, you will receive an Application ID. You must now choose a wireless provider that operates in your state to actually mail you the device and SIM card.

You can browse providers on our site or use the USAC tool to find companies near your ZIP code.

Order Your Tablet

Go to the official website of the provider you chose in Step 3 (e.g., AssuranceWireless.com or QLinkWireless.com). Enter your Application ID, name, and address.

Select the Tablet promotion (be prepared to pay the mandatory $10.01 copay via debit/credit card), and complete the checkout. Your free device and SIM will arrive via mail in a few weeks.
